Saint Paul’s laments the tragic and senseless loss of Sarah Lynn Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky, who were killed in an act of antisemitic violence at a Jewish museum in our nation’s capital. Our prayers are with their families, friends, and all who are grieving. We condemn this hateful act. In this painful moment, we believe it is important for people of all faiths and backgrounds—especially Christians and non-Jews—to stand in solidarity with our Jewish neighbors. Together, we must work to confront and eliminate antisemitism in all its forms, including in our own city of Portland.
